This is a brilliantly entertaining adaptation of the novel. The play is accompanied by a free audio cd, teaching materials containing great ideas for drama work, as well as other activities designed to answer NC objectives. Robert doesn't think so, knowing that he is the school geek. But something compels him to do what Edith asks -- to visit old Chance House, where a boy once fell to his death from the top floor flat.

Nicky Singer is an author and playwright. She has written a number of books for children and adults, across fiction and non-fiction. Her first children's novel Feather Boy won the Blue Peter 'Book of the Year' Award, was adapted for TV (winning a BAFTA for Best Children's Drama) and commissioned by the National Theatre as a musical.
