Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875) was a Danish author and poet, most famous for his writing down of many timeless, classic fairy tales. He is Denmark's most famous author and his birthday is celebrated every year with a part called "Odin Story Day". Nick Holt (Author) Nicky Raven lives in Oxfordshire and, as an author, aims to combine a love of old and classic stories with a feeling for modern popular culture. After working in children's publishing for over twenty years, Nicky's first title for Templar Publishing, The Snow Queen, illustrated by Vladyslav Yerko, began the Collector's Classics series. Nicky was also the author for Vampireology.

This book contains the following story:

The Snow Queen
When Kay is cursed by a magic mirror, he can no longer perceive goodness in anything - not his best friend Gerda, nor the roses in the garden. One wintery evening, he is kidnapped by the wicked Snow Queen and swept away to live for ever in her kingdom of ice. Gerda must travel through inhospitable and frozen lands, sustained only by the kindness of strangers, in order to find her beloved friend. And when she gets there, she must melt the ice in his heart before she can take him back home.
