The old woman runs after him as he cries, ‘Run, run as fast as you can, you’ll never catch me I’m the Gingerbread Man’. Several animals join the chase as the Gingerbread man looks good enough to eat, but none can catch him. Soon the Gingerbread Man comes to river which he cannot cross alone. A sly old fox offers to take him across and the Gingerbread Man climbs onto his tail, but as they cross the river the fox persuades him to jump onto his nose to avoid getting wet. Then the fox eats the Gingerbread Man all up. Yum!
