James Lord Pierpont (1822-1893) was born in Boston, Massachussetts, the son of a pastor. He became the organist and director of music at a church in Savannah, Georgia, and he fought for the South in the American Civil War. "Jingle Bells" is one of the most popular songs in the world, and was the first song broadcast from space. Pauline Siewert is an experienced illustrator specialising in children's books and greetings cards. Her previous books include musical singalong Five Little Ducks (Ladybird) and the festive Baby's First Christmas (Parragon). Pauline lives in Farnham, Surrey. Natee Puttapipat was born in Thailand and grew up drawing, devouring books, watching animation and acting out stories. Now living in London, Natee has a lifelong interest in art and literature and is the illustrator of many familiar classic stories, including Aladdin and The Musicians of Bremen for Walker Books and the Just So Stories and four of Jane Austen's novels for the Folio Society.
