There, he worked for MAD magazine, gathered documentation, and experienced first hand Lucky Luke's home. In 1992 the jury awarded him the Special 20th Anniversary Grand Prix at the International Angouleme Comic Festival. Rene Goscinny was born in Paris in 1926, and spent most of his childhood in Argentina, before eventually moving to Paris in 1951. He died in 1977.
