Michael Rosen is a poet, writer and broadcaster, and held the post of Children's laureate from 2007-2009. Carlo Collodi was born in Florence in 1826. The Adventures of Pinocchio is his most famous work. Robert Ingpen was born in 1936 in Geelong, Australia. In 1986, he was awarded the Hans Christian Andersen Medal for his contribution to children's literature and has been honoured with Membership of the Order of Australia.
