"The Gift of the Magi" by O. Henry tells the heartwarming story of a young couple, Jim and Della, who are deeply in love but financially struggling. As Christmas approaches, they each want to give the other a special gift. Della sells her long, beautiful hair to buy a platinum chain for Jim's treasured watch, while Jim sells his watch to buy a set of combs for Della’s hair. On Christmas Eve, they reveal their sacrifices, realizing that true love is not about material gifts but the willingness to put each other's happiness above their own. Their story embodies the spirit of selflessness and love. [Generated by language model - please report any problems].
