"When We Say Black Lives Matter" by Maxine Beneba Clarke is a poignant exploration of the Black Lives Matter movement through the lens of children's literature. This illustrated book combines powerful, lyrical prose with stunning artwork to address themes of racial justice, identity, and the importance of acknowledging Black lives and experiences. Through the eyes of a child, it conveys messages of hope, resilience, and the fight against injustice, encouraging young readers to understand the significance of the movement and inspire them to be advocates for change.
