Gordon Askew, Jo Ely, Gareth Price, Maureen Haselhurst, Ray Swarbrick and et al Steve Smallman has taken up writing his own stories after illustrating children's books for over 30 years. He also teaches illustration and mural-painting workshops in schools. When he's not working, Steve enjoys films, television, gardening and walking in the countryside. Nick Schon was born in London and now lives in Luton with his wife, three children and five lazy cats. He has worked as an art director at an advertising agency and now illustrates full time. Jonathan was born in 1965, the son of a rig fitter and a primary school teacher. He first developed his skills as a writer and illustrator while studying architecture, illustrating poems and lyrics that he had written. After leaving college, he worked as an architect for several years, before pursuing a career in children's books. In addition to writing books such as Bringing Down the Moon, and Ruby Flew Too, he also paper-engineers pop-up books.
