Jim Curious portrays the story of a young boy who goes on an adventure to the bottom of the sea in an old-fashioned diving suit. But there are no words telling his tale, only intricately illustrated images in exceptionally effective 3-D. (Two pairs of the traditional red & blue 3-D glasses are included in an envelope in the back of the book.) On his journey, Jim initially passes the detritus tossed into the waters by land-dwellers, but soon he goes deeper and deeper, immersing himself in the wonders of the waters. (At the very end, there's a double gatefold that includes chart-of-sorts of all the marine wildlife he encounters.) Reviews in France were very positive: "A true work of art"--L'Amour des Livres; "A beautiful book...a stunning and magical journey"--Chronic'art; "An enchanting spectacle"--DNA.
