AUTHOR: Creating highly imaginative fairy tales since the age of 8 years old, Tara Behan has always had a passion for writing. She has since accumulated a wealth of experience: a Degree in Journalism and Media; marketing experience at the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum in Coventry; news reporter experience at the Coventry Telegraph; creation of Coventry University's first news website; Literary and Travel Editor of The Flaneur Arts and Culture Blog; press officer; and freelance writer. Tara Behan's biggest inspirations for her writing have been the enchanting Walt Disney films that she watched as a child, as well as numerous trips to the dreamlike world of Disneyland. Her magical stories inspire children to use their imagination. ILLUSTRATOR: Matthew Hill's dedication and success in art began at an early age, when at just 9 years old he won GBP5000 in a nationwide art competition to promote healthy school meals. Since then he has gone on to win numerous awards, such as the Whitworth Wallis Painting Award, and has exhibited artwork in cities across the UK, including London, Birmingham, Worcester and Coventry. The simple philosophy that he follows is 'that art should be meaningful and have a positive effect on those who view it. ' Since graduating with a Masters Degree in Fine Art, Matthew Hill has worked as a professional illustrator, producing both traditional and digital artwork for a broad range of clients within the creative industries, including architectural design companies and iPhone game development studios. Through the use of his art, Matthew Hill has also contributed extensively to his community, providing local schools with colourful illustrations to inspire their pupils, and delivering lectures and workshops to both young and adult audiences. With the enchanting art that he has created for The Legend Of Everwinter, Matthew Hill hopes to add a little more magic to the world we live in, and to spark happiness in the hearts of both children and adults alike.
