A prequel to The Wind in the Willows, the Willow Buds series features characters from the classic tale as young "buds" who discover the true meaning of friendship.
Willow Buds book 2 explores the theme of having to share a friend. Toady and Badger are together again, but this time Badger introduces Toady to his other friend, Ratty. Toady, used to a pampered life in a mansion, and Ratty, nature-lover and fisherman extraordinaire, don't really hit it off, and of course both are jealous of the other's friendship with Badger. But after a trip to the carnival, both can see that three doesn't always have to be a crowd!
