This pack aims to help develop awareness of French pronunciation, which should, in turn, develop students' listening skills and improve vocabulary building and spelling. Students need to be taught to perceive differences in pronunciation or they will liken the sounds of French to that of English, hindering effective communication! By learning an awareness of good pronunciation, students will not only gain confidence in speaking, but develop strong listening skills and improve spelling. A native-like accent is not the goal of these materials but developing an awareness of good pronunciation is. The author has identified key pronunciation problems for English-speaking learners and has developed a variety of motivating and fun activities which include comparing cognates, recognising and saying words ending in -ent, as well as vowels, liaisons, stress and intonation.

This book is aimed at children in secondary school.
