When Tom, a young toymaker, offers to rid the kingdom of a ferocious dragon, the king just laughs in his face. But then Tom meets Lizzie, and together they come up with an extraordinary plan. They build a clockwork dragon and set out to defeat Flamethrottle. The two children wind up in a thrilling adventure...and the dastardly dragon finally meets his match. Succeeding where many grown-up knights have failed, Tom and Lizzie are rewarded handsomely by the king. This is a gripping, empowering, action-packed story that will appeal to both boys and girls.
