Writer and illustrator team Marjorie Newman and Peter Bowman whip up a corker in this delightful story of friendship and special secrets. As Cuthbert the Strong strides around his territory, all around him are in awe of his bravery and strength. But when Cuthbert goes to bed, he has to have his cuddly for comfort...a fact that he isn't particularly proud of. But when he loses his cuddly, he has to eventually enlist the help of his friends and it is then that he realises he has nothing to be ashamed of at all. Children will revel in this comforting, and at times hilarious, story, appreciating the stunning illustration and lyrical text. The real joy of this book is the way it approaches the subject of insecurity and trust, and wraps it up in a charming story that is sure to become a bedtime favourite.
