This pocket-sized guide looks at the life on the seashores of Europe and North America. It covers all kinds of living things to be found on sandy shores, rocky coves, mudflats and cliffs, from seaweeds and flowers to shells, crabs, jellyfish and anemones, as well as larger animals such as fish, seals and seabirds. A section on tidal zones explains why wildlife changes on different parts of the beach and the book contains a spotter's chart to record any findings. There are clear labels for easy identification, both for familiar and for rare species.
