Philippe Dupasquier was born in Switzerland and studied art in France. Malorie Blackman was the 8th UK Children's Laureate and is one of the UK's highest profile authors for teenagers and young adults. She has won the Children's Book Award and a raft of other prizes and is the force behind the annual YALC event. Wes Magee is a popular and successful writer for children and adults. He was a teacher when he began writing. He now writes full time, producing poems, stories and plays for both children and adults, and touring schools and theatres around the country with his Poetry Show.
