Alexa Gordon Murphy has an M. A. in professional writing from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. She has written many educational materials on character education and bullying, including interactive presentation kits for teachers and parents and workbooks for elementary, middle school, and high school students. Marie-Therese Miller holds a B. A. in psychology and an M. A. in writing from Manhattanville College. She has written nearly 100 nonfiction articles and stories for Girls' Life and Guideposts for Kids, among other publications. Miller also contributed a story to Chicken Soup for the Preteen Soul 2. She lives in Salt Point, New York.
