The box contains boards, cards and equipment for 15 sets of games. These will provide consolidation of mathematical ideas in an enjoyable way and can also be used to encourage cooperative working and to develop powers of reasoning by thinking about strategies. There are also 6 double-sided encapsulated A3 sheets. These 12 full colour pictures provide a stimulating resource that can be used in a variety of ways to develop discussion, practical work and recording.They can be used flexibly to support different teaching styles, and abilities and interests of children. The teacher's handbook gives rules for the games, outlines the mathematical skills addressed by each, provides numerous ideas for using the mats, and includes photocopy masters for developing the activities.
