In this middle reader, when a selfish bandit disguised as Santa threatens to spoil the Christmas season, help arrives in the form of a hairy, four-legged animal. Beverly Barras Vidrine is a member of the Writersi Guild of Acadiana and the Society of Childrenis Book Writers and Illustrators. She is also the author of Easter Day Alphabet, St. Patrickis Day Alphabet , A Mardi Gras Dictionary, and A Christmas Dictionary , all published by Pelican. Mrs. Vidrine lives in Lafayette, Louisiana. Alison Davis Lyne is a freelance illustrator who has worked on various picture books and covers for American Small Farm magazine. She is the portrait artist for the Kentucky Commission on Women's Kentucky Women Remembered exhibit, permanently on display in the state capitol rotunda. She also illustrated Easter Day Alphabet, Kudzu Chaos, G Is for Grits: A Southern Alphabet, and other titles published by Pelican. Lynn Sheffield Simmons received a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a masteris degree in special education from Texas Womanis University. She is a member of Phi Delta Kappa honorary fraternity and has taught in public schools for many years. She lives on a small farm in Argyle, Texas.
