Jessica Spanyol studied for an MA in Illustration at the Royal College of Art and has since staged exhibitions and designed installations and sets, winning several awards for her work. She is the author of Go Bugs Go! and the creator of the Carlo series about an inquisitive giraffe. She lives with her partner, son and baby twins in east London.
