This title presents a charming, delightfully illustrated tale of teddies with attitude. Old Ted is 50. He was given to Liz when she was a little girl and now lives in a cupboard. Big Ted, Canadian Ted and Pink Ted live on Liz's bed and get on well. But, when Liz goes out, they get up to mischief, playing tricks on her and going off on exciting adventures. The bears have a picnic (of course) and a holiday abroad on their own...and disapprove of Liz's trips without them. But, there are also lovely times shared together, including Christmas. These are bears to make friends with, each with his or her own quirks (Canadian Ted is very keen on having a shower; Pink Ted wants to find a husband). Younger children will enjoy looking at the lovely pictures and snuggling up to have these gentle, entertaining stories read to them. Reading "Teddies Beared" for themselves, older children can imagine what their own teddies might get up to.
