If there's one word that Big Nate would use to describe himself, it would be E-P-I-C! And so is this slipcased, jam-packed book full of cartoons and memorabilia celebrating 25 years of Big Nate: Epic Big Nate.
Kicking off with an introduction by acclaimed Mutts creator, Patrick McDonnell, and followed with a Q and A with Diary of a Wimpy Kid author, Jeff Kinney, find out how novels and cartoons made Big Nate into the phenomenal success it has become. Lincoln Peirce will share anecdotes along with images and excerpts from blog posts over the years, revealing the behind-the-scenes stories behind the stories. It will also include behind-the-scenes looks at Big Nate the Musical in various stages and incarnations, Big Nate world's record strip, with some of the record-breaking images from the Today show, as well as images of kids working on it at their schools.
A large selection of cartoons presented chronologically demonstrates how Big Nate's appearance has changed, which cartoons have garnered the most response, and favorite story lines. Sprinkled throughout are selections from Lincoln's sketchbook since childhood to present day along with his commentary.
