Agnieszka Biskup is a science writer and editor based in Chicago. She is a former editor for the science section of the Boston Globe as well as the children's science magazine Muse. In addition to children's books, she has also written many articles for newspapers, magazines, and websites. Her books have received awards from Learning magazine, the Association of Educational Publishers, and the Society of School Librarians International. Her book Football: How It Works (Capstone Press, 2010) was a Junior Library Guild selection. Terry Collins always knew he wanted to be a writer when he grew up. A former award-winning newspaper reporter and columnist, he now writes poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and graphic novels for readers of all ages. He also teaches literature and creative writing, helping to inspire other lovers of the written word. Terry lives in his hometown in North Carolina with his wife, Ginny, and their devoted dog, Bosley. A lifelong reader, he has a personal library that outgrew his house years ago. Despite his wife's gentle protests over a lack of space, he believes a person can never own too many books. The career path of Nel Yomtov has taken him from the halls of Marvel Comics, as an editor, writer, and colorist, to the world of toy development. He then became editorial and art director at a children's nonfiction book publisher, and now Nel is a writer and editor of books, websites, and comics for children. A harmonica-honking blues enthusiast, Nel lives in New York with his wife, Nancy. They have a son, Jess. Before turning to writing full time, Jo was an English and drama teacher.
