The narrator of this book doesn't just see colours, he feels them. At home, the colour is mainly panic-button red. But on Saturdays, visiting old Mrs Pinder, a hopeful yellow floods in. It's the yellow of the daffodil fields where 'Pinny' worked as a child for the Flower King, whose tragic story lies at the heart of this gripping tale.
