"Champions on the Bench: The Cannon Street YMCA All-Stars" by Leonard Jenkins follows a group of young boys from a small town who come together to form a basketball team at the local YMCA. Faced with challenges both on and off the court, they learn valuable lessons about teamwork, resilience, and friendship. As they navigate personal struggles and rivalries, the boys discover the true meaning of sportsmanship and community. Ultimately, their journey leads them to a championship game that will test their skills and character, highlighting the power of perseverance and the bonds they have formed along the way.
