The skills are linked to the investigation topics of the QCA Scheme of Work, guiding you through the key points that underpin Sc1. Each skill is linked to a strand of content designed specifically to demonstrate how it is used in practice. The CD-ROM allows you to take a flexible approach to the training programme, which means you can use it on your own, in a small group, or cluster groups of schools. The CD-ROM consists of three sections: The Nature of Scientific Enquiry; Skills and Strategies; Students' Work. Information is provided about progression, programmes of study and links and teaching strategies across all of KS3 Science.

This book is suitable for Key Stage 3. KS3 covers school years 7, 8 and 9, and ages 12-14 years. A key stage is any of the fixed stages into which the national curriculum is divided, each having its own prescribed course of study. At the end of each stage, pupils are required to complete standard assessment tasks.
