At a time when magic is all the rage, Babar signs up for lessons. Generation after generation discovers the magic of Babar, and in this delightful 25th-anniversary reissue, that's literally true, as Babar decides to put on a magic show at the palace. Things go awry, however, when he puts Zephir the monkey to sleep, and Zephir floats out of the room-and then all over the countryside! Babar and his world are brought amusingly to life in brief, simple text and humorous illustrations.
