This text provides a range of structured and progressive activities which focus on the part that drama plays in education at Key Stage 1 and Scottish levels A-B. Many teachers are cautious of using drama in their teaching and some equate drama solely with theatre skills. This text develops drama skills and examines drama as a medium through which other areas of the curriculum can be taught. Sections are included on language and literacy, acting for an audience, PSE and cross-curricular themes. It includes structured lesson plans, built-in differentiation, activities for assessment and photocopiable worksheets.
