Kitty Crowther: Kitty Crowther was born in Brussels and lives in Wallonia, Belgium. She has created over 40 books, many of which have been translated throughout the world. In 2010, Crowther won the most prestigious award for children's literature: the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award. Johnette Downing is an award-winning and internationally recognized singer and songwriter. Her many accolades include eight Parents' Choice Awards, four iParenting Media Awards, and five National Parenting Publication Awards. She wrote and/or illustrated There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Bugs, Why the Crawfish Lives in the Mud, How to Dress a Po' Boy, Why the Oyster Has the Pearl, Why the Possum Has a Large Grin, Macarooned on a Dessert Island, The Fifolet, and other Pelican titles. Downing lives in New Orleans, Louisiana. Julia Marshall is a graphic designer and illustrator with skills in typography, textile design, video editing, and photo retouching. She received a degree in illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia. She has illustrated three children's books, and her artwork has appeared in nola baby & family magazine and Charleston Magazine. She lives with her husband, Dylan, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Ulf Stark was born in Stureby, Stockholm in 1944. He is a successful author and screenwriter, and has won many awards for his work, including the August Prize and the Nordic Children's Book Prize. Eva Eriksson was born in Halmstad in 1949 and is a graduate of Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design. She is one of Europe's best-loved children's illustrators, and has worked with Ulf Nilsson, Margaret Stroemstedt, Rose Lagercrantz, and Eva Bexell, among others. She is especially well-known in Sweden for illustrating Barbo Lindgren's successful Max series. Eva Eriksson's work has been recognised with many awards, and in 2001 she was the recipient of the Astrid Lindgren Prize. She lives and works in Dwell, near Stockholm.
