In a well-run lower primary reading class, there is a need to recognise that children within a class are at varying levels and to provide worthwhile activities for some groups. Read more...to be engaged in, while the teacher works with other groups. The two photocopiable books; Reading Reinforcement Games each contain a broad variety of games at ascending levels of difficulty. Book 1 has games reinforcing the alphabet, initial sounds and high frequency sight words. Book 2 has games reinforcing initial sounds, reading for meaning, high frequency sight words and sequencing. All the games give students the opportunity to practise word recognition and reading skills in a simple and fun way. Teachers need only copy the games onto light card and cut them up to have for the classroom a good range of games. The simplicity of the rules and challenges in each game make them very easy and quick to explain and for children to learn.

This book is aimed at children in primary school.
