A charming rural tale about a small boy and his soft-toy elephant by the author of the much-loved Floss. James and his friend Harry, a soft-toy elephant, go everywhere together. In sun, wind, and rain, they explore the whole farm. Every night, James tucks Harry into bed next to him. Eventually, the day comes when James has to start school - and must leave Harry alone for the first time...
