This is a rural tale about a child and her mother in the snow, a lost teddy and a brave sheepdog. Sara goes with her Mummy, her teddy and the dogs to feed the sheep on the hill. As they walk, a snowstorm begins and, after feeding the sheep, they make their way quickly towards home. But then a mini crisis unfolds: where is Teddy? Lost in the snow somewhere, it seems. But then, out of the whiteness, one of the dogs appears carrying Teddy in her mouth. Back home, Sara tells Daddy about her adventure. Kim Lewis is also the author of the other titles in this series, one of which, "The Shepherd Boy", was shortlisted for the 1991 Kate Greenaway Medal, "Emma's Lamb", "Floss", "First Snow", "The Last Train" and "My Friend Harry".
