An eclectic mix of poetry from an international collection of writers: Australian, American, English, Chilean, Chinese, Czech, German, Irish, Nigerian, West Indian and Welsh. Well-known poets such as Emily Dickinson, Seamus Heaney and Emily Bronte are featured alongside poets new to UK school audiences. The book also includes guidance and notes on the poets' work, plus activities. Students are also given the chance to explore how poets have drawn inspiration from paintings, reproduced here in full colour. The text is a suitable resource for the "Other Cultures" element of GCSE.
