Building a Solitaire Game and a Peg Board is the beginner title of "The Building Together" series by industrial arts teacher Ken Ainsworth. Each volume in the series combines basic knowledge of woodworking with specific instructions for completing two projects. Sidebars provide guidance on basic techniques, while full-color photographs provide step-by-step instructions for the completion of each project by an adult and child working together. The covers of each volume are marked with tiny hammers indicating the skill level required: 1 for beginner, 2 for intermediate and 3 for advanced. As child and grown-up woodworkers develop their skills, they can progress to the next level. Each of the self-contained volumes in the series introduces children to the sense of accomplishment that building something for themselves can bring.
