Ellie loves books about animals, and most of all she likes it when her big brother William reads them to her, because he can make great animal noises. He can make the sound sea lions make when they challenge each other, and he can bluster like polar bears swimming; he can sing like the great blue whale and he can growl like a tiger. Then one day Ellie finds out that she too can growl like a tiger, and she spends the day growling and scaring away everything in sight...until she gets quite a scare of her own. A delightful story for very young children, with amusing illustrations of Ellie's imaginary adventures, as her brother tells her wonderful tales about animals.
