A beautifully written first novel that's both exciting and moving -- with atmosphere and charm. Set initially in the UK then in Canada's frozen north amongst the Inuit people. Alex finds a white fox near her home which leads to an injured man and an amazing story. She and her explorer father travel to the Arctic to return the fox to its natural habitat and in doing so get involved in a journey to reunite an Inuit father and son. A wonderful and moving adventure story with the timeless appeal of titles like Morpurgo's The Butterfly Lion. It takes on two very different cultures and countries and has prize-winning and film/tv potential.
