"Can I Tell You about Diabetes (Type 1)?" by Julie Edge is an insightful children's book that introduces young readers to the concept of Type 1 diabetes through the eyes of a relatable character. The story follows a child who has diabetes, explaining the condition in simple terms, discussing its symptoms, and describing daily management rituals, including insulin injections or pumps. Through friendly illustrations and approachable language, the book aims to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and foster understanding among peers, making it an excellent resource for children with diabetes and those looking to learn more about the condition.
