Martin Salisbury is Professor of Illustration at Cambridge School of Art in Anglia Ruskin University, where he designed and leads the UK's first Masters programme in children's book illustration. Among his books on the subject are Play Pen: New Children's Book Illustration (2007) and Children's Picturebooks (2011). After an early career as a teacher and freelance feature writer for major Scottish newspapers, Julie Bertagna has quickly established a reputation as an author of powerful and original fiction for young people. She lives in Glasgow with her husband and young daughter.
