Julia Donaldson is a former Children's Laureate and the author of the internationally bestselling book The Gruffalo, as well as numerous other popular titles. Jess Mikhail studied at Loughborough University, graduating with a degree in Illustration. She uses lots of different techniques in her artwork; drawing, scanning, printing and scribbling to create bright illustrations that are full of colour and texture. Jess' first picture book, I Love You, Little Monster was published by Orchard Books in 2012. She lives and works in Birmingham. Sam McCullen studied at APU Cambridge School of Art, where he achieved a first class honours degree in Illustration and Masters in Children's Book Illustration. He has won a number of awards, including a Highly Commended in the 'Macmillan Prize for Children's Picture Book Illustration'. Sam also works in animation and interactive multimedia. Martin Chatterton was born and raised in Liverpool but now lives in Australia with his family. He has been illustrating for over twenty years. Jenny Williams is a well-known children's illustrator. She lives in Wales. Ross Collins was born in Glasgow in 1972. In his last year at college, he won the Macmillan children's book prize. He lives in Glasgow and is now an established picture book illustrator.
