Julia Donaldson is a former Children's Laureate and the author of the internationally bestselling book The Gruffalo, as well as numerous other popular titles. Paul Bright has also written Under The Bed and Quiet! for Little Tiger Press. He lives with his wife near Canterbury. Matt Buckingham lives in London with his sheepdog Meg and works as a full-time illustrator. Nobody Laughs At A Lion! is his first picture book. Alison Bartlett studied illustration at Anglia College of Art in Cambridge and began an M. A. At Kingston University. In 1993 she was shortlisted for the Macmillan Prize for Oliver's Vegetables. She lives in Bristol with her young son. Sophie Piper is the pseudonym of an in-house author. Barbara Vagnozzi lives in Italy. She has illustrated for Child's Play as well as the Finger-Trail Tales and God Bless Me for Lion. Daniel Postgate is the son of Oliver Postgate, creator of such classics as Ivor the Engine, The Clangers and Noggin the Nog. Andy Parker was born in 1967 in Woking, Surrey and has been drawing almost non stop since he could hold a crayon. After attending college in the mid eighties he worked as a graphic designer, but by the early nineties his love of drawing and a growing interest in computer graphics took over and he decided to embark on a freelance career in illustration. He became one of the first illustrators in the UK to 'go digital' and since then has enjoyed great success producing illustrations for children's books, magazines, advertising, games and publishing in general. He now lives in Hampshire with his long-suffering wife, son, cat, dogs, chickens and goldfish
