Julia Donaldson is a former Children's Laureate and the author of the internationally bestselling book The Gruffalo, as well as numerous other popular titles. Lucy Richards has always loved art and after winning an award from Hallmark for her final university show, it didn't take long for her to establish herself as a much-loved illustrator within children's publishing. The Magic Sky was the first picture book she wrote herself. She has also illustrated two Banana books - Mairi's Mermaid by Michael Morpurgo and The Quick Brown Fox Cub by Julia Donaldson. She lives in Bristol.
