This is an old Highland story, set in Pictish times, when much of Scotland was still ruled by the early Celtic kings. When a poor fisherman agrees to give his firstborn son to a seamaid in return for plentiful fish, he lives to regret his foolish promise. His son leaves home to find service as a warrior with a Highland king. The seamaid becomes a three-headed monster and searches the Highland lochs for the fisherman's son. With a brave heart and a great sword, the fisherman's son outwits the monster and wins the king's daughter but not without the help of a dog, a falcon and an otter...
