Dad's more than a little worried when he finds out the childminder can't look after Dez on the first day of the holidays. That means he'll have to take him to work-the sports section of a department store. Hurray! thinks Dez-hours of fun. Though Dad keeps saying not to touch the stock. Surely one little shuttlecock race won't hurt?. Before he knows it, Dez has managed to improve the design of the shop's carrier bags, hand over some stock to a thief, catch another thief (who also happens to be the deputy manager) and impress a girl from school...all in a day's work, eh?
