The story is about a boy named Grant who lives on a farm with his parents. He has never been to the sea, but reads a lot about it and is fascinated by it. Grant's uncle, Uncle George, is a diver and he invites Grant and his family to spend a holiday with him at the sea. When they arrive at Uncle George's home, Grant and his uncle go diving. They see many different types of sea creatures and Uncle George tells Grant interesting facts about all of them.
