Josie Firmin grew up in Canterbury, one of six daughters of Peter Firmin, the creator of such childhood classic animations as Bagpuss, Ivor the Engine and Noggin the Nog. After gaining BA Hons in Textile Design from Winchester Art School, Josie began her career colouring comics such as Transformers and Care Bears. She now paints china and has two shops in London and Canterbury where she exhibits and sells her work. My World and MyWeek are Josie's first books for Walker. She lives in Holborn with her partner and two sons.
