This book focuses on children's experiences of the playground, through a poster, to provide meaningful contexts for collecting and analysing information. This book gives guidance on the processes and skills involved in data handling and encourages appropriate discussion and questioning. It is one of a series that provide teachers with a variety of essential resources - a double-sided poster, photocopiables sheets and lesson plans which focus on partiocular skills or curriculum content knowledge. The lesson plans are structured to support direct teaching of the whole class followed by differentiated group/individual work as recommended by the National Numeracy Project for "Numeracy Hour".

This book is part of a book series called Resource Bank Maths .
