Explaining science through examining items that children know about, this book covers all different types of springs, showing where they are found and how they work. It describes the forces at work when the spring is in action and explains balanced and unbalanced forces. It also touches upon storing energy, weight and mass and springs (muscles)in your body. It is core curriculum Science taught through everyday objects and is directly relevant to Key Stage 2. It contains a topic web and teacher's notes that will aid non-specialist teachers.
