This is a guide to Willy Russell's TV play "Our Day Out", designed for Key Stage 4 students at National Curriculum levels 2 to 4 with special educational needs. It provides activities for the class, groups and individuals, offering access to the events and themes of the text. Drawing on drama, debate and close reading, the book aims to help pupils engage with the characters and think about the serious issues which underpin the play.
