In the words of Thaddeus A. Ledbetter: Let me introduce myself. My name is Thaddeus A. Ledbetter, and I am in the 7th grade at Crooked Creek Middle School. Not only an exceptionally erudite scholar, I am a member of 13 clubs and organizations, the founder and president of 11 more, and incredibly active in the school and community. I've been blessed, so I feel it's my duty to share my knowledge and talent. But - and you may find this hard to believe - I have been unjustly committed to "In-School Suspension". Yes, you read that correctly. A student of my abilities has been removed from the general population. During my confinement, I have worked hard on my defense - and this is my submission. I have taken the numerous charges against me, explained how they are misunderstandings and supported my defense with lots of computer generated illustrations, irrefutable factual evidence and even sprinkled in fun facts. The Defense of Thaddeus A. Ledbetter is a hilarious contemporary middle grade novel with an innovative design sense that will appeal to readers of Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Meanwhile.
